Bridezillas – An Urban Myth ?
Bridezillas or Groomzilla
Many times when people find out I am a wedding photographer, the first question I get asked is, what are the brides like to deal with? You must get bridezillas ? The truth is that they are great, in fact fantastic.
I have no doubt that bridezillas do exist and funnily enough I’ve heard the term groomzilla being used. I simply don’t attract these bridezilla’s, my brides are fun, elegant and beautiful. They are an absolute pleasure to deal with in more ways than one. Being a wedding photographer is certainly a pressure job. I know my presence alone is a factor in my client’s decision making, as we are a part of their memory after all. Emotions are high when organising your special day, I know as I’ve been through it myself. But like everything else in life, containing your composure, taking a deep breath and generally being relaxed will serve you better in the long run. It always comes together on the day.
Girls dream of their wedding from a very young age, but they don’t take into consideration compromise is a big part of it. Clearly the challenge, and wedding photos play a vital role as your treasured wedding photos are the only evidence left after all is said and done.
Now back to the term ‘groomzillas’, I have seen slight obscure behaviour from certain men who get very involved in their wedding day, I’m taken aback by groomzilla behaviour…..men dieting, need I say more? A rare occurrence folks!
So, bridezilla’s an urban myth? In my experience Yes…..here’s to the wonderful brides from the past, present and future!
